Contents
The bachelor seminar at the Chair of Statistics usually has an overall topic on which individual aspects are to be investigated by the participants. As a rule, the treatment of the topic is connected with the collection of data, either independently (as primary or secondary survey) or within a research project of the chair.
In consideration of the basics of economic theory, the collected data are to be analyzed using statistical methods and the results are to be interpreted. The range of methods essentially includes the procedures known from the modules Statistics I and Statistics II.
Scope and evaluation
- written paper (50 %)
- presentation and discussion (50 %)
- 5 credit points
Organization and schedule
- The assignment to our chair is handled by the assignment procedure of the examination office of the business and economics department.
- The assigned participants will receive an e-mail from the chair with a request for confirmation of participation. After received confirmation, the registrations will be forwarded to the examination office and the participants will be registered in the course in Stud.IP. [In case of missing confirmation, the participation in the assignment procedure is necessary again].
- Further details and dates will be communicated via Stud.IP and during an introductory event.
