Aims, Scope and Topics

The ICORS 2014 intends to establish a forum for discussions about recent developments in robust statistics and related fields. This includes new methods, theories and concepts in robust statistics as well as applications of robust methods in statistical data analyses. Particularly young researchers (including graduate students) in these fields are encouraged to present their work. A central aim of this conference is the discourse between experts in the field and young researchers.

Contributions specifically in but not limited to the following fields are welcome:

  • Concepts and theory of robust statistics
  • Asymptotic theory and efficiency
  • Novel applications of robust statistical methods (e.g. in business/finance or in biostatistics/bioinformatics)
  • Robust and nonparametric multivariate statistics
  • Robust functional data analysis
  • Robust regression, including quantile regression
  • Robust time series analysis
  • Linear and generalized linear models;  mixed models
  • Statistical computing and graphics
  • Data mining and machine learning
  • Disparity/distance/discrepancy statistical methods
