The city of Halle is a vivid, modern place to be, its center coined by historic buildings of the beginning 20th century. Today’s 230.000 inhabitants spend life, work, and recreation here around the market square with its five towers, the university with its central campus of historic and modern buildings, the banks of the river Saale with their parks and greens and so much more which can be discovered.
Within the central part, distances are not too far, so most routes can be done as footwalk. For longer distances a well developed tram net can be used.
