course details lecture "Social Network Analysis" - SoSe 2017

Dear Students,

Beside the regular courses offered by the chair of statistics, in the coming summer term an additional course "Social Network Analysis" is offered. This is a one-time offer.

The course can be counted as module "Aspekte der Empirischen Ökonomik I" within the Master program "Empirische Ökonomik und Politikberatung", "Betriebswirtschaftslehre" and "Wirtschaftsinformatik".

The course will be offered by a renowned colleague from the University of Naples (Giancarlo Ragozini). The course will be in English.

The course is expected to comprise of a total of 10 lectures (between June 15 and June 22). Please register in Stud.IP for further details.

In order to be eligible to register for the exam in "Social Network Analysis", students must visit the R tutorial. This tutorial will start on April 06 and will take place every week from 2:15pm – 3:45pm in the computer lab (Großer Pool) at WiWi, Große Steinstraße 73. The tutorial will run for about 6-7 weeks. Students who already attended the tutorial do not need to participate again (however, the attendance certificate is required as a proof).

At the end of the course there will be an exam (within the regular exam periods). The exam's questions will be in English, your answer can either be in German or English. Note that there will be no 3rd exam period one year later, as the course is only offered once.

Auftaktveranstaltung Seminar "Spezielle Volkswirtschaftslehre" - SoSe 2017

Liebe Studierende,

Im kommenden SoSe 2017 wird der Lehrstuhl für Statistik ein Seminar "Spezielle Volkswirtschaftslehre" anbieten. Das Seminar richtet sich ausschließlich an Studierende im Masterstudiengang EÖP. Die Auftaktveranstaltung mit Themenvergabe findet am Montag den 03.04.2017, 16:00-17:00 Uhr statt (der Ort wird noch bekannt gegeben). Die Seminarvorträge werden im Block am Freitag den 16.06.2017 (Nachmittag; je nach Teilnehmerzahl ggf. auch noch am 17. und 18.06.2017) stattfinden. Anwesenheit ist für Teilnehmer des Seminars obligatorisch. Eine vorläufige Anmeldung ist im Stud.IP in der Veranstaltung mit dem Titel "Seminar: Blockseminar Statistik (Masterseminar)" möglich.

Beside the regular courses offered by the chair of statistics, in the coming winter term an additional course "advanced linear models" is offered. This is a one-time offer.

The course can be counted as module "Aspekte der  Empirischen Ökonomik II" within the Master program "Empirische Ökonomik und Politikberatung", "Betriebswirtschaftslehre" and "Wirtschaftsinformatik".

The course will be offered by two renowned colleagues from the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio (Domenico Vistocco und Davide  Passaretti). The course will be in English.

The course comprises of a total of 10 lectures and exercises (between Dec 05 and Dec 16). Please see the timetable in Stud.IP for details.
